And The Saying Goes : Hectic last weekend of August 2008

okay i was lyk so hype up during the weekend….

lets start with the raya light up at Geylang…. with of course DIDIFIERS to support our local acts especially DIDICAZLI and for me another local act that I havent seen him perform for ages (macam betul gitu =p) IMRAN AJMAIN!!! woo hoo but kinda seriously disappointing cause…. while they were performing d crowd were making noises and saying things like is so unbearable irritating to my ears… gosh!!!

i like only knew that most of them came to see the stars from CINTA FITRI from a makcik… ahaz… i dont watch those Sinetron…. Like my dad always say (no offense) “jalan cite semua sama… ada watak jahat… ada gadis yg lurus bendul… ada jejaka yang tak pandai pilih… sama je…” hahaha… my dad totally like hate the sinetron (tak suka tapi tgk jugak =p)… but finally got to hear Imran’s new song from the upcoming album… cant wait for the launch…

okay that was Saturday 30082008….

now Sunday which is yesterday….

started off really bad… was coughing throughout the nite and when i woke up in the morning was feeling totally sick…. vomitted x2 but still i have 3 events to go….

first the patient outing at Grand Copthrone Hotel….. it was great but wasnt as fun as last year…. it was like a bit bored…. only the interesting and fun part was the eating time…. hahaha…. went off early coz like I have to run to Esplanade to see my lil bros, Sleeq, performing at the Nike Human Race.

It was fun… when I arrived there Zul was performing… Then Freaky Z who like spotted me… When it’s time for Sleeq to perform I was getting too excited that I took photos instead of intially videos. They performed HICCUPS and a new single from an upcoming KRU Movie Productions called “MY SPY”…

Oh btw… HELLO TO ALL SLEEQAHOLICS WHO CAME DOWN YESTERDAY!!!! 

After taking photo with them, I went with Fiza, Aisyah, SV and Aunty Baby (SV’s mum) to see SourGrapes at Nokia PowerHouse…. The drummer is Ashri from the previous group Danielle and the singer is also from Danielle ( lupa laa nama dia…).. for more info on SourGrapes go to : www.myspace.com/sourgrapes

went home like ard 11:30pm… seriously tired… change clothes… Niat puasa dan off to bed….

held at Living Room, Arts House yesterday…

yes on a monday which happened to be Youth Day…

went with sarah n her fren, lala n her sis, dee….

obviously the usual gals were there… aydah, syella, sya2 n radiah…

it was much more laid back n relax show instead of the up tempo normal hip hop scene…

fazli’s voice was not that good yesterday… coming down with a sore throat….

sleeq was fantastic yesterday…. singing exclusive which is originally sang by day 26… then apologise originally by one republic…. setback n the last song not that sure… but it was fantastic….

i got “scolded” by riffy again…. sorie bro! if u r reading this… i wun go again k? that i promise…

btw… go to sleeqcity.blogspot .com coz it’s their official blogsite for now… therez upcoming activities to run… still in planning mode.. not telling until confirm….

went back hm with radiah n syella n that person.. i m nt telling… only certain ppl i have told to n that person also know it… nice talking to that person.. we like long lost fren… laughing in the mrt… talking abt spam…. everyone was lyk lookin at us!

cant wait for the nxt show… anyone want to watch a show on sunday at *scape? i wanna watch….

It’s 65hope 1st anniversary… And also their award show… it’s kinda fun but I need to speak my mind…

Like what Imran Ajmain said in his song… “Sudah Tu Sudah”.. let’s carry on with our life and do what we feels right k?

No need to bring about the past.. let’s all stay focus in the present and plan ahead for the future….

A very big applause for Fazli Nasser a.k.a Freaky Z for continuing the journey… Remember bro.. Therez a lot of fans/frens supporting you from the back…

The surprise was fun…. I’ve got Zaki from PeepShow to put on the medal over his head… Like what Fazli said… this is not what he wants..

All he wants is for us to continue supporting what he do and be there for his show…

So ppl be prepared for the next major event nxt year…

MY SAY ON… Floetry May & Popcorn Playa

WATZ UP?!!!

2 events happening within a day…. what?!

yupz.. 2 hiphop events happened on 31st May – Floetry at Earshot Cafe, Arts House and Popcorn Playa at Glass Hall, Singapore Arts Museum…

I went for the one at Arts House… Kinda want to meet up with Syella and the geng…

Was a bit blur when all of them was like nervous, butterfly in tummy… but in the end…. it was ok…

The show was a bit mellow down due to Fazli a bit disturb abt sth…. but the whole performance was DA BOMB!!!

By the way… 65&hope turns 1 this 14th June… There’ll be an event..

Floetry – Protege

Protege was held at The Chamber, Arts House on 26th April 2008. Hahaha… Macam buletin semasa lak ni…. he3.. :p okay it was a full pack audience… once again after Definition last mth…

performances by the 65&hope artists was great… It was great that Freaky Z did something special for Rauzan on his 19th birthday yesterday…. It was actually planned by Rauzan’s gal… So sweet kan?

the 10 proteges performed starting from the nervous one up to a scene of fighting couple to a very gerek giler ones…

and it went down to 7 selected proteges… so congratulations to the 7 Proteges who are going to the next round….

with such a host by the named of Freaky Z… the crowd was hyped up as usual by his jokes.. especially the one on “public..transport” done with an elderly person voice… hahaha…. And a performance by Leo37 from Canada…  for those who missed it, therez another one end of the month of May.

Floetry will be held at every last Saturday of every month… If you support hiphop scene in Singapore, be sure to come and support them… You’ll even get to buy their album at a reasonable price…

I always believed… If we dont support our local hiphop acts, who will right?

Like what Freaky said… the hiphop scene in Singapore is like a foetus trying to grow into a full term baby… But each time it wants to grow, it died or get aborted… So we are the mummy of the foetus… it’s our choice to let it grow or abort it…

My choice is to grow it into a full term baby… give birth to it and watch it grow in years to come…

What’s your choice?

Choose smart and wisely…

Definition Gig RULEZ!!!

The gig was da bomb.. Started with Zul Mystroe beatbox and the craziness of Freaky Z hosting… Tak leh angkat bila he buat kelakar… Everything went really nice and well and seriously for those who din got you missed out on a lot of hip-hop….

I simply like BLESS rapping without music… It’s on not bothering what people say about you. Believing in yourself and know that whatever you do have a reason and whatever obstacles that come from Him is actually Hikmah… I didnt get the words but it was so beautiful and make me think of what he rap about…

Oh… Syarif wasnt around due to a school programme. He’s in Australia… That was what Alyph told me… Got Freaky Z n Richard autographs… Freaky Z was like “Wah… minta autograph laa…” Hahaha…

After that I went out with SV and her frenz…. It was fun…. I had a lot of laughter and all…

 Now I cant wait for 6th April…
